2025 Top PR Tips for Authors
1. Keep writing.
2. If someone DM’s you to pay for a review or feature, run.
3. More product = more sales.
4. Keep exposure ongoing, consistent, and evolving.
5. Collaborate with other authors, community members, and businesses to expand your audience.
6. Contract out the services and tasks that you don’t have time to do or don’t have the expertise in.
7. Start marketing 3 months prior to your target date for coverage.
8. Remember that your book business is comprised of exposure, sales, credibility, consistency, perseverance, and effort. Success and sustainability happen when these things are done equally.
9. Never compare your book journey to others. Never measure your success against another author’s. Your business is your business only.
10. Start locally, expand regionally, then progress nationally.
