Make Yourself the Expert: Do’s and Don’t’s

DO’s:

• Be the voice of your brand. Build a solid website and active socials—this is your digital stage, so make it appealing.

• Receipts or it didn’t happen. Show off pics of you doing your trade, happy clients, glowing testimonials.

• Craft your elevator pitch. Make it snappy, like a business pickup line: “Hi, I help people stop wasting money and get the exposure that they deserve.”

• Post like a pro. Only drop business tips, tools, and resources. Your followers didn’t come here to see your lunch (unless you’re a chef…then, carry on).

DON’T’s:

• No “Get Ready With Me” unless you’re a makeup artist or a magician. And skip the family vacay slideshow—we’re building a brand, not a scrapbook.

• Reels: Don’t drag it out. Keep photos under 3 seconds and ditch the flashing stickers. (Yes, Gen X, we’re gently confiscating the glitter and neon.)

• Don’t care what the haters say. They aren’t paying your bills. Post with confidence and let your business do the talking.
